The Senses sight
The senses - eyesight broken down in its most basic of forms through the spectrum of light. Using a prism you can shine light which breaks down to the basic elements of color. Those colors are sensed by the rod and cones in the eye. The three main colors that the cones in the eyeball can detect are red, blue, and green. RGB (Red Green Blue) are also known at the primary colors.
The eyeball is hallow and filled with fluid this fluid maintains the shape of the eyeball. The fluids in the eyeball refact light rays a equal balance of this fluid is vital otherwise the refraction would become skewed. If the drainage in the eyeball is blocked, and the internal pressure within the eyeball increases it is known as glaucoma. Glaucoma can lead to blindness if left unchecked.
Naturally we all have a blind spot which the brain usually hides from us by filling in the blanks from experience. A blind spot is where there are no rod or cones on the back of the eye wall that convert light into electrical impulses to send to the brain. This blind spot is where the optical nerve exits the eye.
Myopia is the medical term for nearsightedness, it’s oposite is hyperopia which is farsightedness. Blurred vision is called a astigmatisism. Once electrical impulses are inducted in the eye and passed to the brain they are sent to the vision center of the brain which is called the hypothalamus.
