Massage Chinese Anmo
One of the earliest cultures where the Chinese in the proliferation of massage techniques. They were one of the first cultures to record and teach techniques called anmo. A British museum holds the key artifacts that prove the 3,000 year old Tao-Tse a Cong Fou teaching book that describes the use of medicinal plants , exercises, and the treatments that when administered can be used to treat disease and maintain long lasting health. The techniques where improved through the centuries in finding points on the body that where most effective in rubbing, pressing, and manipulating to affect ones health and pain.
Today the use of massage is an integral part of the Chinese health care system and is practiced in China’s Hospitals and clinics. A more modern name for massage that is for medical reasons is called Tui-na, which when translated means “push pull”.
Chinese medicine has various questions in the diagnostic procedure that western medicine lacks. Going to a physician in the chinese culture would intail an extensive interview by the physician that would include the looking at the tongue and body fluids that are excreted and also the intake of fluids. Which modern western medicine sometimes lacks.
