Urinary System Bladder
The bladder, I know the body has many different bladders but when a laymen talks of the bladder they are referring to the urinary bladder. It’s the most common of the bladders that reminds of the process. Which process, what goes in must come out. The human body requires fuel to burn and like any reactor produces waste by products that need to be removed. You can think of the bladder as a holding tank for this liquid waste product that must be discarded from the body. The bladder rests in the pelvis behind the public symphysis in females sits in front of the uterus, and in males rests on the prostate gland.
Cystitis is the medical term for an infection of the bladder. A condition involving extreme urgency and pain, yet small amounts of urine are released is called interstitial cystitis. You could call the opposite affect would be an over active bladder which is a condition involving the need for frequent urination. Yet, another condition in which a person releases urine involuntarily is called incontinence. One could possibly catch a urinary tract infection in the hospital which is called nosocomial infection, usually caught because of a procedure is being done that introduces a bacteria or infectious micro organism that the urinary system cannot easily fight off.
The urethra is a structure of the urinary system that is the most inferior part of the renal tract, in men is also plays a part in the reproductive system.
