Thrombus is a clot that stays in the place that it was formed, the condition is called thrombosis. If a clot becomes dislodged in the circulatory system is very dangerous and can be lethal. A clot that dislodges in the blood stream is called an embolus which will then move through the circulatory system and can clog vital organs of systems of the body which require constant blood flow. This condition is called an embolism and needs immediate attention. The substances which can activate the immune system are called antigens or immunoglobulins.

When a mother’s Rh antibodies react with a baby’s Rh-postitive cells it is a disorder that is called erythroblastosis fetalis. Something that all expectant mothers should be careful of when having children with a father that has a blood type that is incompatible with the mother.
