Indian Head and face massage
Indian head and face massage (part of the ayurvedic massage modality) has been established for more then 5,000 years. Its benefits are to eliminate stress and excess toxins and purify the body, which will naturally strengthen or rejuvenate to maintain strength. Ayurvedic goes back beyond massage when massage was ascetic and superficial.
This modality originated from the Indian house hold the mother would clean and stimulate through touch and oils the hair, face, and neck. Shamptu is this art which eventually became shampoo. Only today in the western world it is done by ones self daily without the touch and oils. It affects the chakra of the base of the browe or between the eyes. It is sometimes called the 6th eye. Today shamptuis still performed with many different oils and hygiene which naturally becomes cleansing.
Oils used are basil which can be used for asthma and digestion and also is good for the skin. Basil essential oil is also good for stroke victims. Rosemary is good for circulation. Cinnamon is good for people that have headaches and lower back pain. Using Frankense for the 6th chakra will calm the patient. Citrus oils are good for cheering people up and refreshing them and making them feel clean. Sandlewood is good for memory.
